About This Program
The Cosmetology program is a two-semester, hybrid-format course spanning 36 weeks, 1,211 hours, and 50 credits. Students receive a blend of lecture and hands-on training across the full scope of cosmetology services.
Instruction covers cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical texturing for hair; facial massage, skincare, makeup, and hair removal for esthetics; and manicures, pedicures, and artificial nails for nail care. Real-world experience is built through TCR's on-campus salon.
Program Goal: Comprehensive training in cosmetology services and techniques that prepare students for licensure and successful careers in the beauty industry.

Program Cost
Costs are broken out by semester below. The combined total covers all tuition and fees paid directly to TCR. Semester 1 includes the student kit, books, and sales tax on tangible items. Semester 2 includes state board testing fees.
Indirect costs are CDHE estimates and are not paid to TCR.

Estimated Indirect & Total Program Costs
Indirect costs are not paid to TCR. They represent estimated living expenses based on the Colorado Department of Higher Education's monthly student budget projections.
Dependent student: Under 24, unmarried, no dependents of their own, not a veteran or active-duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces, and not an emancipated minor. Parental information is required on the FAFSA.
Independent student: Age 24 or older, married, a graduate/professional student, a veteran or active-duty service member, an orphan or ward of the court, an emancipated minor, someone with legal dependents, or otherwise meeting federal criteria. Only the student's (and spouse's, if applicable) information is required on the FAFSA.
